The Blueberry Festival in Gray, Maine, celebrates its wild-grown, delicious, and nutritious blueberries. This festival helps promote and honor the community of Gray. People from all over Gray and surrounding towns visit the area for the weekend festival.

The festival started in 2016 as an annual summer festival. In 2017, it was rebranded as the Gray Blueberry Festival. This festival was created to celebrate the wild blueberries that grow in Gray.

In 2022, the festival underwent another rebranding, becoming the Gray Wild Blueberry Festival we know today. It is always held on the Second Saturday in August.

Activities At The Gray Blueberry Festival

More than 80 booths are set up in the fairground. These booths offer jewelry, pottery, arts and crafts, etc. The kids have a separate area specifically set up for their enjoyment. They can participate in face art, dunk tanks, bouncy houses, fire trucks, etc.

Contests are held throughout the day, such as wild blueberry pie eating contests, dessert bake-offs, spelling bees for kids, a sack race, a corn hole tournament, and kids’ races.

Multiple food trucks offering sumptuous delicacies will be located at the venue. Live music will be played throughout the day.

Parking At The Wild Blueberry Festival, Gray, Maine

The main parking lot is located north of 24 Main St. Additional parking lots are located in American Legion #86, Crossroads Community Church, and 4 Main St. These sites are 3 to 6 minutes away from the location. ADA parking spots are available on the large field at 24 Main Street.
